The purpose of the courses is to assist you to obtain your Mine Environmental Control qualifications and to assist you in understanding the concepts used in our discipline so that you can be a competent Mine Ventilation Practitioner.
Basic Maths (4 days)
Practical in MEC (5 days)
Intermediate in MEC Paper 1 (8 days)
Intermediate in MEC Paper 2 (9 days)
Certificate in MEC Paper 1 (8 days)
Certificate in MEC Paper 2 (8 days)
Certificate in MEC Paper 3 (5 days)
Certificate in MEC Paper 4 (5 days)
Certificate in MEC Paper 5 (8 days)
MEC Coaching (Intermediate Certificate and Certificate) (5 days)
How the fees work
All courses are R1,360 (excl. VAT) per candidate per day. (For example, 1 person on a 5-day course costs 1 x 5 x R1,360 = R6,800 excl. VAT.)
For the Practical in MEC, there is an additional Assessment Fee of R600. This assessment is done by a Mineral Council of South Africa approved Assessor.
Transport and accommodation are excluded from course fees.
If there are more than four candidates from one area, a special course may be requested, as a cost saving initiative.
