My name is Frans Cloete, and I’ll be your trainer. I train people who work in coal, hard rock and open cast mines in the discipline of Mine Environmental Control.
I obtained my own Certificate in Mine Environment Control more than 30 years ago, and I also have a Higher Certificate in Education Training and Development Practice.
I’ve worked on mines all my life, and I’ve been training, coaching and mentoring ventilation personnel since 2007.
During this time, more than 90% of the learners that were on Community Internships (CI) and MQA Graduate Delvelopment Programmes (GDPs), obtained permanent employment on mines and the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR). A number of people also went on to practice as DMR Inspectors after two years of coaching, mentoring and training.
I’m well equipped to transfer knowledge and share my experience with you.
The purpose of training is to transfer what I know so that you can apply it at work.
My philosophy in training and development of learners is based on the three pillars: study, lecturing, and learner support.
To become a successful student, learner support is just as important as study and lecturing.
I really enjoy my work, and I’m always excited to see you grow. Find out how to start your career.
